Pizza enthusiasts in Bloomington can look forward to a new and convenient dining option as Pizza X announces the opening of its latest location on Tuesday at 11 a.m. The new restaurant will be located at 312 E. 3rd Street, formerly a laundry mat.

The expansion comes with exciting news for pizza lovers, as this new Pizza X location plans to streamline its delivery service by drawing its delivery area from four other existing Bloomington stores. According to Jeff Mease, the owner of Pizza X, this strategic move will result in both the campus location and the new PXDT (Pizza X Delivery Team) enjoying tightly knit and efficient delivery areas.

“We’re thrilled to enhance our delivery service by pulling from the resources of our other Bloomington stores,” said Mease. “The new PXDT boundaries will enable us to provide even faster delivery service, and we’re especially enthusiastic to introduce e-bike delivery within the next month.”

The upcoming e-bike delivery service is part of Pizza X’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Mease explained that the company has already outfitted its first e-bike and plans to expand the fleet by spring. This move aligns with the business owner’s vision of reducing the carbon footprint associated with traditional car deliveries.

“It’s always bothered me to drive a 3 lb pizza around in a 2k lb car,” Mease said. “With the introduction of e-bikes, we aim to contribute to a greener and more eco-friendly delivery system.”
